Ms. Calangi obtained her law degree from the University of Santo Tomas, cum laude. She also has a degree in Trust Operations and Investment Management which she earned with distinction.

In her formative years as a lawyer, Ms. Calangi was rigorously trained in civil and criminal litigations in a medium sized law firm. The discipline and critical thinking she developed during those years and her intuitive understanding of business and finance enabled her to get into different specialized fields when she decided to concentrate on corporate legal services.

Among the companies she served as legal counsel are Alliance Select Foods International, Inc., China Banking Corporation, First Dominion Prime Holdings, Inc., D.C. Chuan & Sons, Inc., University of the East, UERM Memorial Medical Center, Inc., Hammercon, Inc. and International Elevator & Equipment, Inc.

Her experience in handling cross-border transactions as well as overseas subsidiary development and M&As exposed her to various legal systems and cultures. Ms. Calangi is an accredited arbitrator of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. and the Wholesale Electricity Market of the Philippines.
